Issue no.31 - Information Sharing on Visual Sign Language Dictionary cum Sign-a-Song Contest
Titled “Information Sharing on Visual Sign Language Dictionary cum Sign-a-Song Contest”, the 31st issue of the SE Newsletter features a short video of an interview with Mr. HUI Ka-yan, Joseph, Principal of Lutheran School for the Deaf. It mainly introduces that Lutheran School for the Deaf rolled out a “Sign Assisted Instruction Programme” in 2012, in which the “The Visual Sign Language Dictionary website of LSD” provides the public with more opportunities to understand and learn sign language, and is expected to enhance the learning effectiveness of the students. In addition, the school also holds Sign-a-Song Contests for the participation of the ordinary primary schools and the primary sections of special schools in Hong Kong, with a view to promoting sign language among the public.
