- This episode is about two cases with Intellectual Developmental Disorder (IDD).
- Case (1) – Ching was diagnosed with Down’s syndrome at birth. Her intellectual functioning was significantly lower than that of her peers. Ching’s parents, who at first had a hard time coping with the diagnosis, soon overcame their emotional distress and dedicated themselves to raising Ching. They arranged a wide variety of activities for Ching to develop her potential.
- Case (2) – Yee was diagnosed with IDD since she was small. As Yee’s parents were occupied by work, her grandmother took care of her. Yee’s teacher discovered that she had a good sense of rhythm, and thus trained her to become a percussionist of the school band. Yee felt confident in integrating into the society owing to the care, encouragement and acknowledgement from her supportive grandmother and teachers.

- Mok studied in a special school for children with mild intellectual developmental disorder. Although Mok’s academic performance was not remarkable, he had earned the trust of his teachers because of his strong sense of responsibility and leadership abilities. As a result, he had been assigned to assist in leading various school activities. His unwavering determination and positive life attitude had garnered public recognition, making him a courageous young warrior despite his challenges.
