Issue no.4 - Current Situation of Integrated Education (IE) as Seen in the Promotional Campaign for IE, ‘Inclusive Schools – All Begins with Our Hearts

Titled “Current Situation of Integrated Education (IE) as Seen in the Promotional Campaign for IE, ‘Inclusive Schools – All Begins with Our Hearts”, the 4th issue of the SE Newsletter features video clips of the promotional campaign for IE, “Inclusive Schools – All Begins with Our Hearts” jointly launched by the Special Education Division of the Education Bureau and the Department of Health in the 2008/09 school year. These include two inter-school competitions (“Short Video Competition” and “Little Caring Anchors”), examples of “heart-oriented” inclusive schools, and views of teachers and students on the campaign.  The activity shows that caring for students with special educational needs in primary schools has been already very common, and also demonstrates that inclusive culture has rooted and sprouted in schools gradually.
