• Parenting (《天下父母心》) - Episode 5《障無不勝》(RTHK 2009)
  • This episode is about two cases with Intellectual Disability (ID). 
    • Case (1) – Ching was diagnosed with Down’s syndrome at birth.  Her intellectual functioning was significantly lower than that of her peers.  Ching’s parents, who at first had a hard time coping with the diagnosis, soon overcame their emotional distress and dedicated themselves to raising Ching.  They arranged a wide variety of activities for Ching to develop her potential. 
    • Case (2) – Yee was diagnosed with ID since she was small.  As Yee’s parents were occupied by work, her grandmother took care of her.  Yee’s teacher discovered that she had a good sense of rhythm, and thus trained her to become a percussionist of the school band.  Yee felt confident in integrating into the society owing to the care, encouragement and acknowledgement from her supportive grandmother and teachers.
