Task Force on Special Education

Introduction

The Task Force on Special Education (previously named as the “Task Force on Provision of Education in Special Schools”) serves as a communication channel between the Education Bureau (EDB) and the sector on matters relating to special education.  It consists of representatives from the EDB, Social Welfare Department, Hong Kong Special Schools Council, Hong Kong Subsidised Secondary Schools Council, Subsidised Primary Schools Council, school sponsoring bodies of special schools, non-governmental organisations, and local expert(s) in the field of teacher training/ special education, as well as representatives from parent groups for children with special educational needs and the Committee on Home-school Co-operation.

 

Terms of Reference

Task Force on Special Education serves as a communication platform among the Education Bureau, schools and the relevant sectors; and gives views and suggestions on the policies, measures and development of special education.
