Issue no.8 - Early Identification and Intervention for Children with Learning Difficulties – Partnership between Schools and Parents

Titled “Early Identification and Intervention for Children with Learning Difficulties – Partnership between Schools and Parents”, the 8th issue of the SE Newsletter emphasises the importance of home-school cooperation in providing intervention and support to students. The content mainly sets out the problems and features which students with learning difficulties may show after studying in Primary One, and briefly introduces the “Early Identification and Intervention Programme for Primary One Students with Learning Difficulties” and its flow, so that parents and other viewers understand the importance of early identification and intervention. The video also provides an overview of the 3-Tier Intervention Model on supporting students with special education needs and the related school-based support, and how schools equip parents with strategies and skills to facilitate children’s learning through the “Parent Academy Programme”.
