Titled “How to Enhance the Executive Skills of Children with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (AD/HD)”, the 42nd issue of the SE Newsletter explains the difficulties children with AD/HD face and how teachers and parents can cater for their needs, through case scenarios and the dialogue between parents and professionals (including the psychiatrist, the educational psychologist and the social worker). The newsletter points out that a combination of medical treatment and behavioural therapy, together with appropriate parenting can bring optimal improvement to children with AD/HD in three aspects including emotion, learning and behaviour.
