Issue no.5 - Oration by Mrs Betty Ip, Deputy Secretary for Education
The 5th issue of the SE Newsletter is the oration by Mrs Betty Ip, Deputy Secretary for Education. At the conference where she received the Medal on Child Health 2010 from the Hong Kong Paediatric Society, she made the oration titled “Educating Children with Dyslexia: What We Have Achieved Together in the Past Ten Years”, briefly introducing the development of educational services provided to children with dyslexia and the measures the Government had taken to support such students in multiple aspects. With enhanced school-based support, teacher training and more evidence-based intervention resources available, students with dyslexia would be able to better succeed in schools.
