Task Force on Integrated Education
Introduction
To take forward the policies and measures on the promotion of integrated education (IE), the Education Bureau (EDB) set up the “Task Force on IE in Mainstream Schools” in 2005 (renamed as “Task Force on IE” in January 2021), which comprises major stakeholders involved in the implementation of IE, including the representatives from the primary, secondary and special school councils, associations of heads of primary and secondary, resource schools, Hong Kong Council of Social Service and organisations for the disabled under its nomination, groups of parent having children with special educational needs, Committee on Home-School Co-operation, tertiary institutions, and other departments such as Department of Health and Social Welfare Department, etc. Through regular meetings with the Task Force on IE, the EDB has kept stakeholders informed the latest progress of implementing IE and sought their views on improvement measures in due course.
